Tricia Lea Jarratt

The family of Tricia Lea (Wilson) Jarratt are heartbroken to announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 1, 2018. Tricia leaves behind, to carry on her quest for life adventure, her loving husband Bill, her three shining stars children Ryan Goodine, Megan Goodine and Shane Jarratt, her mother Brenda Knight (Jim), her siblings Mike Wilson (Jennifer), Laurie-Ann Wilson, Bailey Hanson, Sherry Knight-Ferguson (Tim) and Cindy Knight (Dwayne), her sister-in-law Dr. Mary Jarratt-Hanlon (Greg), as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as Ryan and Megan’s father Ken Goodine. Tricia was predeceased by her father, Jim Wilson, grandparents Chris and Ralph Wilson, and Bea and Fred Thornton.

Tricia was extremely proud of her family, and was passionate of her calling as an archeologist. She had many wonderful friends while growing up in Nackawic and residing in the Fredericton-Oromocto area, and many colleagues in her varied careers. Tricia graduated from Nackawic High School in 1990, and continued her education at the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton), graduating with a Bachelor of Office Management degree (1994). Always seeking her dream of being an archeologist, Tricia returned to UNB and graduated with a BA (Hons.), in 2010. She was a lover of heritage and artifacts, and her MA Anthropology (2013) published thesis was entitled The Augustine Mound Copper Sub-Assemblage: Beyond the Bead. She had a great respect for First Nations People, and endeavoured to honour their culture and history through her study and profession.
