Hudson, Margaret Ann
It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Hudson announces her death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 at the age of 73. Born in Manitoba on July 21st, 1937 she was the wife of the late Frederick "Ted" Hudson.
Margaret leaves behind her sons, Doug of Montreal, Patrick (Shih-Shu) of Calgary, Monty of Dartmouth; Ricky of Calgary, Larry of Geary and Billy (Maiko) of Japan; daughter, Kathy MacPherson (David) of Dartmouth; sister, Barbara Watchman of Edmonton; grandchildren, Julia, Chris, Danielle, Aaron, Issac, Teddy, Annie, Justin, Jene, Randy and Willy; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Taylor and James as well as her dog, Barty. In addition to her husband, Ted, Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Jean Langevin; son, Bob; brothers in law, Jack and Ralph; and sister in law, Eleanor.
Margaret was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a board member of the Oromocto Training and Employment Center (OTEC), which specializes in helping people with disabilities. She worked as an administative clerk for both the CBC in Winnipeg and at Base Gagetown from where she retired. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her garden.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Friday, May 20th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, May 21st at 11 am with Fr. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will follow in adjoining cemetery.
